Welcome to the department of Supply Chain and Information Systems in the Ivy College of Business! There are so many exciting things happening in our department. We have our highly-ranked Supply Chain Management major and our sought-after Management Information Systems major both housed in the department. Placement rates and starting salaries are among the highest in the College.

Our new Master of Business Analytics program has seen one of the best starts of a graduate program at Iowa State in recent history. Our Master of Science in Information Systems degree program continues to be highly successful, both in recruiting the best minds in the world, but also in placement of the best and the brightest into meaningful careers that really take advantage of their new skillsets.

Did you know that you can also earn a graduate certificate in Business Analytics either here in Ames, in our downtown Des Moines location, or online? It takes just four courses and you can transfer those courses into a degree-granting program if you wish. Watch this space for new graduate certificates coming soon!

Supply Chain Management Major

Supply Chain Management is a unique program that refers to the coordination and movement of a product from its creation and production to the point it is delivered to the customer. Graduates pursue careers with manufacturers, distributors, transportation carriers, logistics service providers, and consulting firms.

Management Information Systems Major

This major provides comprehensive training in the application, use, and management of information systems preparing students to provide effective information services and support.

Master of Business Analytics

The Master of Business Analytics is an interdisciplinary graduate program for employed professionals that addresses the challenges of dealing with data analytics and business intelligence in the “Big Data” environment.

Masters in Information Systems (MS-IS)

This degree is designed to provide students with a strong set of technical skills in addition to a broad background in business to enable them to develop and manage a full spectrum of IT projects.

PhD in Supply Chain Management

The doctoral program in Supply Chain Management (SCM) prepares doctoral students to publish scholarly research in the fields of logistics, transportation, and operations management.

PhD in Information Systems

The PhD program in Information Systems (IS) is designed to develop future scholars to excel in basic and applied research in the field of information systems.
