This program is not yet open to international students requiring F-1 status.

An entering cohort size is approximately 15-20 students per year, and admission is highly competitive.

Requirements for admission:

  • a minimum GMAT score of 550**
  • an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.25 (junior/senior GPA will be considered if better than overall)

**ISU Finance majors with a 3.25 GPA or better and all grades in required finance courses are B or better do not need to submit GMAT or GRE.

Additional factors that will be considered are:

  • professional work experience, including internships
  • leadership experience
  • strong references from employers or faculty
  • a convincing rationale for pursuing the degree

The average student admitted to the MFin program will have a GMAT score of 615, an undergraduate GPA of 3.44, prior exposure to accounting and finance at the undergraduate level, and a year of calculus.
