Ames, IA – The Iowa State University College of Business was recognized in The Princeton Review’s list of ‘Great Schools for Highest Paying Majors’ in the area of Finance.

The list, featured on The Today Show on January 31, was part of The Princeton Review’s 2017 Edition of “Colleges That Pay You Back,” and was chosen among 200 select colleges and universities that, “Give you the best bang for your tuition buck.” Iowa State University was ranked among the top three among the best schools in the nation for universities with the highest paying Finance major and a median starting salary of $53,300.

The 200 schools that made the Colleges That Pay You Back 2017 book and list were all evaluated based on three exceptional factors in its methodology: excellent academics, affordable cost, and strong career prospects for graduates.

The Princeton Review’s ROI rating for each school includes PayScale.com data collected through April 2016 from alumni surveys covering starting and mid-career salaries, and career social impact. “This is a tremendous honor for our Finance department and I am extremely proud of the College of Business faculty and our Career Services staff who are dedicated to educating and preparing our students for their futures,” said Raisbeck Endowed Dean David Spalding.

The College of Business is an AACSB-accredited, doctoral-granting program that ranks in the top 50 undergraduate and top 40 graduate programs among public universities. Less than 6 percent of all business schools world-wide have received AACSB accreditation.
