The Accounting department at the College of Business gives undergraduate and graduate students the skills and expertise to succeed after graduation. Our professors will help hone your skills and turn them into tools for success. You’ll discover the best ways to gather, analyze, and report financial information to make informed decisions. This preparation will help you when you take the Certified Public Accountant exam. You won’t just be ready to work, you’ll be ready to excel.

Accounting Major

The Accounting major prepares students to analyze, synthesize, and report data so others can use it to make informed decisions.  This program allows students to pursue diverse careers in business and accounting including auditing, consulting, public accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Master of Accounting (MAcc)

The Master of Accounting program is designed to meet the needs of accountants in public or private accounting focusing on interpreting and analyzing accounting information for decision-making. Graduates comply with the Iowa Standards for Certification upon passing the Uniform Certified Public Accounting examination.
