There's never been a more exciting time to build a career in business! In today's global marketplace, there are no limits to what motivated, experienced, educated individuals can accomplish. Your adventure begins in the College of Business at Iowa State University.

We will help you become an educated, well-rounded business professional. You'll understand how the world of business has evolved, and how constantly changing social, technological, political, legal and economic forces shape its future.

You will enter the College of Business as a pre-business student, which is your status until you complete the requirements to declare a major after three to four semesters. If you are not yet sure what business major you wish to pursue, we encourage you to explore your options during your semesters in pre-business.

Pre-business students take BusAd101/102, an orientation course which covers our different majors, the requirements for each, and career fields for graduates in each major. Students may also enroll in a Careers in Business course which offers more information about numerous business careers.

MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the College of Business at Iowa State University is to conduct and to share research and to educate tomorrow’s business leaders so they are prepared to deal with multi-disciplinary, global, technological, ethical, and diversity challenges.

VISION
The Iowa State University College of Business aims to become a nationally significant professional school with a nationally prominent faculty providing unique disciplinary and interdisciplinary focuses reflecting the science and technology strengths of Iowa State University, and to be recognized among the top ten Colleges of Business in land-grant universities in the United States.
