The staff in the Undergraduate Programs Office provides assistance in many areas of academic student services:

• Recruitment of new students in business
• Teaching the orientation course for all new business majors (BusAd 101 or 102)
• Honors programs
• Information about scholarships
• Resources for academic assistance and financial aid
• All aspects of advising, from 4 year graduation plans to graduation
• Advising student groups, BLT';s, Business Council, B-Week, MBN, Honors, etc.

Appointments

To schedule an appointment with your advisor, please call the Undergraduate Programs Office at 515-294-8300 or stop by 1200 Gerdin. Sorry, we are not able to make same day appointments so please plan ahead!  Most appointments are 20 minutes and can cover topics such as registration, academic standing, and curriculum.

If you are a non-business student looking to change your major to a Business major or add a second major in Business, you will need to attend a Curriculum Change meeting with an Academic Advisor in the College of Business. To set up a Curriculum Change meeting, please stop by 1200 Gerdin or call 515-294-8300.

If you have a quick question, you may see an advisor on walk-ins. Walk-ins are limited to 5-10 minutes. If you would like more time with an advisor, please set up an individual appointment.  Walk-Ins are different during the summer hours.  Please call the office to check when an advisor will be available for walk-ins.
