The Courses for the 30-credit program will include 15 hours of accounting courses* from the offerings listed below:

Acct 583 Accounting for Strategic Management
Acct 584 Accounting Information Systems
Acct 585 Tax Implications of Business Decisions
Acct 586 Advanced Federal Taxation
Acct 588 Governmental & Non-Profit Accounting
Acct 591 Fraud Examination and Prevention
Acct 594 Financial Statement Analysis & Valuation
Acct 595 Advanced Accounting Problems
Acct 596 International Accounting
Acct 597 Advanced Auditing and Assurance Services
Acct 598 Financial Accounting:  Theory & Contemporary Issues (required)

Credits

  • 12 hours in non-accounting courses*
  • 3 hours in communication courses*
  • 2 hours of creative component (optional)

The twelve hours of non-accounting courses can be used to develop a strong secondary field, such as management information systems or finance. Students may also develop breadth by taking courses across the different disciplines

*One 3-credit-hour course in the program must focus on international topics.
