Prior to receiving her Ph.D. from the University of California, Irvine, Dr. Cross earned an M.B.A. in International Business from DePaul University and a B.Sc. in Management Studies from The University of The West Indies. Dr. Cross also has prior industry experience in auditing, strategic planning and marketing, both within and outside of the U.S. Her research interests focus on consumer behavior and lie in the areas of family decision making, immigrant consumption behavior, innovation and social networks. Dr. Cross has presented her research in several forums, including the Association for Consumer Research (ACR) Conference, the Consumer Culture Theory (CCT) Conference, the Academy of Marketing Science (AMS) Conference and the Society for Consumer Psychology (SCP) Conference. She is a recipient of several awards, including the ACR/Sheth Foundation Dissertation Award, UC Irvine's Ray Watson Doctoral Fellowship, the American Marketing Association Foundation (AMAF) Valuing Diversity Ph.D. Scholarship and the Jane K. Fenyo Best Paper Award for Student Research. Dr. Cross is a member of the American Marketing Association, the Association of Consumer Research, the Academy of Marketing Science and the American Sociological Association.
