His scholarly activities include publications in the Journal of Finance, American Economic Review, The Journal of Development Economics and the American Journal of Agricultural Economics. His current research involves the impact of the information revolution on the structure of agricultural markets, the pricing of exotic options and insurance contracts, the use of speculative markets to reinsure the systemic portion of risky portfolios, and the possible impact of current trade liberalization in China on world agricultural markets.
