“Promoting Academic Integrity”

Donald L. McCabe
Professor, Management & Global Business

Rutgers University

Professor McCabe visited the College of Business in November 2013 to discuss the topic of academic integrity. He is widely known for his research dealing with student cheating, and he provided a state-of-the-art review of current research dealing with academic integrity, honor codes, student cheating, cultural differences in how cheating is viewed, and student moral development.

McCabe joined Rutgers in 1988 after more than 20 years in the corporate world at Hoechst and Johnson & Johnson. He teaches strategy courses at Rutgers and devotes his research agenda to questions of student integrity in their academic work. He has lectured around the world on the topic of student integrity, in many cases acting as a consultant to schools who wish to change their existing policies.
