The ability to communicate clearly and concisely to a specific audience is a skill that is central to being successful in business.
In the College of Business, we believe that good communication is a skill that is learned with practice. To help our students develop this skill, we began the Business Communication Center with the intent to integrate communication instruction and practice throughout the student’s undergraduate experience both in and out of the classroom.
Good communication requires students to evaluate, synthesize, analyze, apply, and comprehend the topics being communicated. Moreover, active learning and higher-order thinking are fostered through communication. We help students learn those skills as well as proper grammar, document design, and different writing styles.
