Recruiting Options

For Those of You Who Choose Not To Come On Campus:

We realize that recruiting and hiring have become increasingly more complex.  It is difficult to predict the number, type, and time that you will need new hires.  For those reasons we have expanded our efforts beyond the on-campus recruiting program to assist you.  Below are the different methods we have developed to match your organization's needs with the right ISU candidates.

Job Postings

We provide employers with the capability to post job vacancies via our online career management software.  To request access to this service:

  • Send an e-mail to buscs@iastate.edu requesting access to our online service if you have not previously set up an account with our office. OR
  • Go to the website www.business.iastate.edu/careers/ and click on the ISU CMS link located on the upper left side.
  • Click on the Employer Log-in link.
  • Click on the "Register" link located to the right of the login fields.
  • You will receive an e-mail with log in information along with the service activation request form that you will complete and return to isucms@iastate.edu which will grant you access to the services you request.
  • Make sure to indicate how you want applicants to apply (ie, website, e-mail, in person, etc.) when you enter the posting information. Include graduation dates, majors, classification, minimum GPA requirements, type of employment (Experiential Education or Full Time Employment), etc, for the posting.

Alumni Services

We can provide you access to ISU alumni who may be seeking a new job or career change.  Most of these candidates have experience.  To access these candidates:

  • To post immediate vacancies, we ask that you utilize our online career management software. Contact our office at buscs@iastate.edu for more information on how to access this system
  • Make sure application requirements and procedures are clear
  • The candidates will apply per your instructions

Maximizing Your Efforts

You may tie into as many of the above services as you feel will be of assistance to you.  We are here to help you "connect" with ISU alumni, recent graduates, and current students.  Call us anytime your company has an opening.  We are available to serve you 12 months a year.

Video Conference Interviewing

If your company has video conference ability, Business Career Services can now arrange video conference interviews through Information Technology Services.  Contact our office at buscs@iastate.edu or by phone at 515-294-2542 to make arrangements.
