Where can I view College of Business salary averages?
Where can I view the College of Business student organizations?
The College of Business has several student organizations. Student organizations may be a venue for employer presentations, and it should be mutually agreed upon by the organization and the company that this presentation will primarily promote the firm. Any “recruiting” activities, i.e., resume collections, sharing of job postings, etc., should be coordinated with Business Career Services. Engaging in recruiting activities in classroom situations which might be outside of standard recruitment practices may jeopardize the employer’s compliance with EEO and/or DOL obligations.

When should my student begin to use Career Services?
Career Services are available to students throughout their time at Iowa State. We encourage first year students to familiarize themselves with the staff and resources available in order to prepare for internship and job search seeking in subsequent years. While students are encouraged to use Career Services at any point during their college career, they will benefit most by progressive involvement from their first year through their senior year. We also have a Four Year Career Plan that will assist your student each year throughout their time at ISU.
What should my student do if they are undecided about college major or career choice?
This is common, and we are dedicated to helping your student with this decision. Career Services offers a variety of resources that can help students identify important information about themselves. Career advising is available to all interested students. We also offer CareerLeader-College, an on-line assessment, which might be helpful in deciding upon a major within the College of Business.

Family members can play an important role in their student's career needs. You can start by referring them to Career Services. You can also help by supporting their career decisions and assisting them in identifying networking contacts.
