Christina Moffatt, regional director of the Mid Iowa SBDC, Des Moines says, “I’m so proud of Amy. She has taken a problem common to every mom and has and turned it into an international business. I also love the fact that she makes the product right here in Iowa!”

Lil’ Sidekick was founded in the summer of 2013 and introduced its first product at the premiere ABC Kids Expo in Las Vegas in October of 2013, where owner Amy Vohs picked up 23 outlets for her product, an exclusive, all-Iowa made product. It is a unique strap that attaches to car seats, high chairs, and strollers, plus bikes, backpacks, purses, and luggage. It holds toys, spoons, baby bottles and water bottles, plus other items that kids tend to drop or throw on the floor. The product has been sold in stores and online nationally and internationally, and is now available in Kohl’s and Babies R Us.
