AMES, Iowa — Ted Bair, regional director of the Iowa State University Small Business Development Center (ISU SBDC) in Ames, has been named the 2016 Iowa “State Star” by the national Small Business Development Center organization, America’s SBDC.
America’s SBDC annually recognizes Small Business Development Center personnel for demonstrating exemplary work performance, significantly contributing to the organization’s economic development efforts, and showing a strong commitment to small businesses.
“Ted is a true advocate for small business across our state. His contributions to the SBDC and our small businesses have been vast. We are proud of Ted and we are honored to have him within our network,” says Lisa Shimkat, State Director, America’s SBDC Iowa.

I can think of no one else that each day brings the focus and compassion for his clientele that Ted does.”
