Big XII+ MIS Research Symposium

The thirteenth Annual Big XII+ MIS Research Symposium will be held from April 10 through April 12, 2015 at Iowa State University. The Management Information Systems Faculty at the College of Business is hosting this year’s symposium. As is Big XII+ tradition, activities will commence with a reception for all attendees on the evening of April 10, followed by the symposium on April 11 and April 12 (half day).


Symposium Objectives

The symposium will provide an informal setting for networking and will focus on research presentations by junior faculty members and Ph.D. students. It will also provide a forum to learn about ongoing research at other Big XII+ schools, identify areas for research collaboration, and provide a collegial environment to advance MIS teaching. Prominent researchers from Big XII+ MIS programs will attend the meetings and participate in both panels and general discussions. The conference will not require a registration fee, and meals will be provided by the Supply Chain and Information Systems department in the College of Business during the duration of the symposium.


Doctoral students are encouraged to present their research papers to obtain feedback from senior faculty at fellow Big XII+ institutions. For programs which do not have a doctoral program, junior faculty can present their research papers as well.

Saturday Night Dinner

Symposium Dinner: Brunnier Art Museum starting at 6:00; Shuttle buses will leave from Hotel at 5:30PM.



Please note that lunch will be served at the symposium venue both Saturday and Sunday.
